Welcome to my  professional portfolio. On these pages,  you will find much about me both professionally and personally. My intention is to use this platform as the means to share some of my learning journey and achievements. Please explore my site and get to know me. Afterwards,  if you believe our profiles are a good fit , I will be happy to interview via Skype, FaceTime or telephone.

As a lifelong learner, I have invested heavily in my professional development and education simply out of curiosity, unanswered questions about learning and teaching and the pleasure that I find in learning. I hold a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis on international education (PK-6) and a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction (K-12). The the M.ED. program, I have earned the IB Educator Certificate in Teaching and Learning which supports a deep dive into international education.  Additionally, I am certified as a Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction workshop leader by Drs. Lynn Erickson and Lois Lanning as well as a becoming a Teaching English in Multilingual Classrooms (TEMC) Tutor. Both of these certifications required a significant financial investment. My Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration provides me the background knowledge vital for business management including utilizing financial statements for decision making, marketing, developing business plans and building community relationships. Currently, I am a student at the University of Bath working towards a Doctor of Education which has been enjoyable. I have recently finished a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University. That said, I have over 50 professional development courses under my belt. With 22 years'  experience in education, 18 of which are international, I look forward to using these skills alongside a team to proactively construct an inspiring, learner-centered program where learning is challenging while supporting culturally and linguistically diverse students; a program that drives concept-based inquiry so students are able to think conceptually in a psychologically safe learning community for transformation.

"Thank you, both of you [Heath Fontes and Evelyn Hargett] for driving the PGS [Professional Growth System] forward so well this year and giving the group the leadership it needed. Without it I am certain it would not be as complete as thoroughly done and a tool that really drives our professional growth forward.

My sincere thanks to you both. A pleasure to work with you."
